PRESS RELEASE
Prom Fashion outlook 2005
written by Prom Dress Designer, DeBora Rachelle for PromDressShop.com and the national press

It's the year of the stars. Red carpet styles enter the prom scene with style. The Academy Awards and the Golden Globes lead the way for this year's prom scene. Www.PromDressShop.com again leads the way in prom fashion for 2005.

Organza's, satins and tulle set off the cloud like flowing nature of these gowns. As usual, white and black are ever so popular. Added to this year's colors are neutral tones such as browns, and ivory's. Bright colors such as orange, yellow, and aquamarine set the tone for the more outgoing personalities of those riskier promers.

Riskier does not necessarily mean rebellious. Promers no longer feel the need to have to rebel with their clothes. Parents are happy to note that most promers are opting for those dresses with more angelic features with either longer trains on the slim form fitting dresses or layers of tulle added for fullness to the ball gowns. Although some promers may opt for the lower cut dresses, these gowns are tastefully designed and are by no means rebellious in nature. Flowing organza and satins, silk hand-beaded dresses with longer trains, and angel-like layered tulle set this heaven like phase.

Promers still want to show their individual personalities. Hand-painted dresses, embroidered flowers and vines, and vibrant colors are just a few ways they plan to steal the limelight.

Dresses are not only beautiful from the front but many are making a dramatic exit as well. Criss-cross backs, longer trains, and special designs are just a few items that make the dresses fun to look at coming and going.

Top choices for footwear are the see-thru sandal shoes that subliminally lengthen the leg to make the girls appear taller. Fashion forward shoe companies provide screw off heels that can be filled with beads or rose petals to match the promers dress.

Promers opt for seamless undergarments. Sticking bra cups directly to the skin or ironing on the cups directly to the dress are two ways to avoid bra lines. For those who choose the lower necklines, Hollywood Fashion Tape plays are part in keeping those private parts a secret.

The youngest female ever up for an Academy Award, Keisha Castle-Hughes led the way for fashionable hair accessories. She wore a rhinestone whale barrette to promote her movie, 'Whale Rider'. Chandelier earrings or delicate flowered earrings also played are part in the elegance of the award ceremonies. Those accessories carry on into the 2005 prom season.

Whether a promer wants to become a Red Carpet movie star after graduation or whether they just want to hold the limelight for one clear prom night, all will agree that on their night of feeling glamorous, prom memories last a lifetime.
